Happy Father's Day
June 20, 2021
Hey guys, super happy to be back talking to you. It has been an eventful summer to say the least. Golf is hard, life knocks you down time and again but that is all for another day. This week I am not talking about me or my life. Since Father’s Day is today, I decided this would be the perfect excuse to talk about how my dad is the most important person in the world to me.
With my career path, I have the opportunity to spend a lot of time with my dad. He travels with me all over the country and he even caddies for me when I need an extra pair of eyes to keep track of my wayward tee shots. There really could not be a better life for me right now, I am chasing my dream and I have the privilege to do it all with my dad right by my side. You know people sometimes ask me all the time if I would change anything about my life, and with a smile I always say “No.” I get to travel and spend some of the best years of my life with my dad and I would not trade those moments and experiences for the world.
Now for anybody that knows me my dad is my best friend. He is the person I go to when my life breaks down, he is the person I call after every round of golf, he is the person I call when I need advice, he is the person I go to when I’m sad and hurt, and he’s the person I look up to the most. He is given me the most incredible life; he has taught me to be strong in my convictions and stand up for what’s right even if that means standing alone. He has taken care of the family the best he knows how and never asked for a thank you in return. He is the type of guy to sacrifice everything for his family. He is given me hope when I have been hopeless. He has been the best role model for me and my brother and was always there to pull us back in when we strayed off our paths to success. He is always waiting on the 18th green rain or shine through the good, the bad and ugly. Above all else he believes in me with every part of him and I could not thank him enough and if I become half the man and father, he is I’d consider myself the luckiest guy on the planet. Above all else my dad has been there every second of my life pushing me to be a better man, golfer, son, friend, and person. He has made me the man I am today. I am so very very proud to be called your son. I love you dad, Happy Father’s Day!
