Hey everyone, I hope everyone is getting through these tough times we are facing in our world today. Its been about a week or two since my last post. From here on out I will be posting at least one post a week since I have a lot more free time on my hands. I’m also starting something new with my post, I’ll be naming them. This post will be called “Hope.”
I named this post hope because a lot of us need that right now. Throughout the year, 2020 has thrown a lot of wrenches’ in our lives. The biggest, has been the Covid-19 virus. This virus has caused so much pain and loss for so many across the world. It has ripped people from our lives, has ripped our lives apart inside and out. It has shown no mercy when taking our loved ones. Its crushed the spirits on many people across the globe. It has brought countries to its knees, closed off borders, cancelled events, some of which haven’t been cancelled since WWII. It has left people without jobs, no money, and no way out. It pretty easy to lose hope during these times, its almost expected. However, while it might be expected we can’t let that happen.
Hope is the strongest thing we have right now, while its not tangible, it’s a feeling that needs to reach all borders, every household and every person. I constantly see people on social media bashing other people and spreading fear and negativity. I understand people have difference of opinions, but now isn’t the time. Right now, we need to spread love and promote unity. Now is the time to call and old friend, let them know you miss them and love them. Reconnect with a brother or sister that you’ve fallen out of tough with. Let them know you think about them and want to see them again when this is all over. Fix relationships with your parents. If you have the oppurtunity to hug mom and dad do it because you need it just as much as they do. Now isn’t the time to fight and push people away. Many of us are quarantined with our family. Use this time to just be with them. This time spent inside was what I needed. I spend so much time traveling, and I finally get the chance to be in the same room with my parents for more than a long weekend or my girlfriend where I will spend up to 5 weeks apart from her at any given time. I hate what this virus has done to our world but I’m thankful it gave me the chance to be with my family again. We’ve been given the chance to stop, slow down and not feel like were watching our lives get whisked away by life itself.
So, I ask all of you to spread hope, spread happiness, and promote unity, because at the end of the day as human beings that all we have left to get us through, is hope. We will come out on the other better for this, but while we are stuck in the middle of this darkness be a light.
Stay healthy, promote social distancing, stay safe, and tell somebody they mean something to somebody.

“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.”
