Hi, my name is Michael Winter and I've been playing golf for about 20 years, across various levels.
Growing up golf was just something I used to do with my dad, since then it has not only become my job but my favorite thing to do in the world. Not only has golf opened so many doors for me and has given me a career path, it has given me lifelong relationships with some of the best people. One piece of advice that I would give anyone thinking about getting into golf would be to do it because although it can take more than it gives at times it will open you up to something more incredible than you could ever imagine.
Who would be in your dream
foursome?
One of the most common questions golfers get asked is what would their dream foursome be and that’s a pretty loaded question. However, for the past 6 or so years I've had the same dream foursome and that foursome includes my dad because he got me into the game and is the reason that I play, Max Homa because he is a grinder and he never quit on himself even when he's lost his tour card multiple times, and last Jordan Speith because he has been someone I've looked up to for quite some time. Hopefully, one day that dream will become a reality.
What is your favorite course you’ve ever played?
Hands down Plainfield Country Club, that place is a gem. I've had the privilege of playing there at least a half dozen times while I was in college and it never disappointed. Between the the course layout and the difficult green contours Plainfield provides a test for even the game's best.
