January 22, 2021

Hey guys, it’s been a little while since I last talked to everyone.  Life kind of got away from me for a little while.  I was so busy practicing, traveling, and playing in events I forgot to take the time to talk to you guys.  I finally found the time, and I have some big career news.

This past week, I finally felt that I was ready to take the next step in my journey and officially turn professional. I am confident with where my game is at and where it is going. For the first time, in a long time, I have felt more confident than I have ever felt before, a truly empowering feeling.  For the past year and a half, I would ask my dad when the right time was, and he would always calmly answer with “you’ll know when you are ready.”  This answer was always difficult to swallow because at the time I felt like it was not helpful, and his words were completely sound and correct.  I finally have reached a placed physically, mentally, and athletically where I know I can compete with the best of them.  With his support and guidance, I have a newfound confidence in myself and my life.  I am not afraid or worried anymore.  I know this is going to be a long, challenging journey, even more challenging than it has already been, but that is the beauty about chasing a dream.  All the best things in life are the things we have work the hardest to achieve.  I am beyond ready to continue this journey, and eternally grateful for everyone who has continued to believe in me, invest in and continuously support me.  I recently read in a new favorite book of mine “How Champions Think” by Dr. Bob Rotella, that are major part of success and becoming a champion comes from an unwavering support, people that believe in you as much as you believe in you. Without this key competent true success and becoming a champion cannot be attained. Huge shoutout and continued love for my parents, Paul and Layna, my brother Matt and my girlfriend Gab, and the rest of Team Mike for believing in me even when I did not. You all got me here and I have no doubt we will get to the top together.

With that being said, I have a busy tournament schedule coming up, the first weekend in February will be my first event as a professional.  I will be competing in the Indian River Open on February 6-7, which is a part of the Florida Pro Tour. A week later, I will be competing in my first Korn Ferry Tour Monday Qualifier, The Lecom Suncoast Classic on February 15th, and finally last Monday I signed up for Mackenzie Tour Q-School (PGA Tour Canada Section) and will know the location I receive between the end of February to middle of April. All tournament updates will be posted on all my social media and on my website. 2020 was rough, but 2021 is going to be the best yet. Thank you TeamMike for the continued support, and this next chapter of my life is going to be sweet.
